Martindale-Hubbell has launched an interactive geographic analysis tool to showcase the annual user traffic to martindale.com. Using a highly accurate IP address analysis application, Martindale-Hubbell is able to map the geographic location of users of martindale.com and then track where those users are seeking information on lawyers and law firms around the world—this provides law firms and lawyers with a guide to potential buying trends in the international legal market in an instant—in addition to demonstrating martindale.com’s international reach.
By aggregating this user traffic information over a 12 month period and presenting it in a dynamic ‘map’, subscribing firms can clearly see the international reach martindale.com delivers outside the country in which the law firm or lawyer is located. The heat-map provides information on two distinct types of enquiry:
1. Country View: An analysis of the top countries responsible for lawyer and law firm profile views on a given country or jurisdictions and;
2. Enquiry View: This analysis uses the country view data to display the top countries responsible for profile view enquires, and where those potential buyers of legal services are seeking legal assistance.
Both heat-map enquiry views enable an enquirer to click on a particular country for which there is further country specific data available. Countries with red shading (dark red = heavy enquiry traffic levels and those with light red = lower enquiry traffic levels).
The data displayed is for the top 20 jurisdictions at martindale.com only. If you would like more information on these traffic heat-maps contact your account manager or simply email international2@martindale.com stating “Traffic analysis” in the subject line of your email.
