Martindale-Hubbell Sponsors Canadian Marketing Awards
LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell is glad to be a Gold Sponsor of LMA Vancouver, and in particular to sponsor its Honouring Excellence in Legal Marketing (HELM) awards.
(Vancouver, BC, Canada) The legal Marketing association (LMA) is dedicated to serving the needs and maintaining the professional standards of those involved in marketing in a law firm. LMA Vancouver, the first chapter located outside of the United States, works with individuals in firms throughout British Columbia and the region to set and maintain those standards. LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell is glad to be a Gold Sponsor of LMA Vancouver, and in particular to sponsor its Honouring Excellence in Legal Marketing (HELM) awards.
The HELM awards recognise creativity, execution, achievement and overall excellence in legal marketing initiatives of LMA Vancouver members, among them lawyers, legal marketers and vendors. Winners of the first annual HELM awards, presented this past spring in Vancouver, include: Chris Bennett, partner, Davis LLP (Young lawyer award); John W. Elwick, partner, Alexander Holburn Beaudin & Lang LLP (lifetime achievement); Alexander Holburn Beaudin & Lang LLP (Firm Marketer of the Year); and Farris, Vaughan, Wills & Murphy LLP (Corporate Social responsibility award).
Of special interest is the Managing Partner award, presented this year by Martindale-Hubbell account Manager Charles Casey to William Westeringh, managing partner of Fasken Martineau duMoulin LLP. This award recognizes a managing partner who has demonstrated leadership by guiding the firm through the coordination and implementation of strategy and tactics resulting in the achievement of key business objectives.
The LMA reports of Mr. Westeringh, “through his focus on profitability, leadership, and support of the firm’s growth strategy, this managing partner established a ‘think tank’ to develop action to reinforce the marketing/business portfolio of the firm. He is furthering their client service focus and has built a team that supports change and forward thinking in law. the judges were impressed by his creativity, commitment and ability.” Mr. Westeringh is Martindale-Hubbell Peer review rated.
LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell congratulates all the 2007 HELM awards winners for their achievements. For more information e-mail Charles.Casey@martindale.com.
